Learn more about who we are
At the end of the 2010 season, the Bishop Feehan Girls Lacrosse Team purchased and dedicated a shed to the girls lacrosse program.
Many of the girls on the team at that time were the last of the founding members of the lacrosse program that began in 2007.
It took years of fundraising to purchase the shed, and for those who remembered the days when we did not have a practice field and had to use parking lots, the shed signified the end of a long road to establish the program at the school.
2010 marked the year of the "last of the first" and 2011 was to begin the "first of the future". Though the team had been competing at a Varsity level for years, the program was to finally "officially" be declared a Varsity sport by the school. It was the hope of the team members who raised funds for the shed that the program would thrive and those who followed them would go out of their way to take care of the shed and make sure that it was in pristene shape for years to come.
The shed resides at our practice field and has been used for a variety of purposes.
It operates as an equipment storage area, a command post, a housing unit for those not feeling well, a changing room, a shelter from the freezing cold, a dry site to gather supplies during practice sessions when it's raining, and a mini snack shack where we can sell snacks during home games.
THANK YOU to all the players, parents, families and supporters of the Feehan Girls Lacrosse Team who made our shed possible.
If you are a member of this year's team, please take care of it.
Remember, to us, it will always be more than just a shed...
Always keep the doors shut when it is raining or snowing.
When you use a piece of equipment, put it back where you got it.
If the equipment is wet or muddy, clean it off before you put it away.
Throw your trash in the trash barrels that are provided -- not in the shed.
