Girls Lacrosse Rules

The Bishop Feehan Girls Lacrosse team abides by the US Womens' Lacrosse rules as interpreted by the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA).

New 2012 MIAA lacrosse rules that affect play are as follows:

As per US Lacrosse 2011 Rule 7, Section 27, any player receiving two yellow cards in the same game will be suspended from further participation in that game and may not participate in the next game (1 game suspension).

Anyone receiving a red card (misconduct) will be ejected from the game and will be prohibited from participating in the teams' next two games. A red card signifies flagrant and/or unsportsmanship like misconduct. (see Rule 74.8 - MIAA Handbook.)

US Lacrosse writes the rules for high school girls'/women's lacrosse, which are endorsed by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS).
